These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Danielle’s Pet Grooming website and all appointments and grooming services provided by Danielle’s Pet Grooming.

By using the website, submitting a form, requesting or confirming an appointment, or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

A signed Dog Grooming Liability Waiver and Consent form is also required before grooming services are provided.

Client Authority

You confirm you are the dog’s legal owner or have full authority from the legal owner to request services, provide instructions, make grooming decisions, authorize emergency care, and accept these Terms and Conditions.

You agree to provide complete and accurate information about yourself and your dog.

Appointment Requests

An appointment request is confirmed only after Danielle’s Pet Grooming provides confirmation.

Appointment times are reserved specifically for your dog. Service length and completion times are estimates because each dog’s coat, behaviour, health, stress level, and grooming needs differ.

Health and Behaviour Disclosure

Before each appointment, you must disclose all known information affecting safe grooming, including:

• Medical conditions.

• Injuries or recent surgery.

• Seizures, arthritis, heart conditions, breathing concerns, or mobility issues.

• Skin conditions, allergies, sensitivities, or infections.

• Anxiety, fear, aggression, biting, or handling concerns.

• Medications and veterinarian instructions.

• Previous grooming incidents or negative grooming experiences.

Danielle’s Pet Grooming relies on this information when deciding how to handle and groom your dog.

You remain responsible for harm, additional costs, or service interruptions resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or withheld information.

Grooming services do not replace veterinary care or medical advice.

Safety and Grooming Decisions

The comfort, safety, and well-being of your dog come before cosmetic results.

Danielle’s Pet Grooming reserves the right to modify, shorten, postpone, or stop a service where continuing would place your dog, staff, or another person at risk.

Specific styles, coat lengths, finishes, and completion times are not guaranteed.

Puppies, Senior Dogs, and Special-Needs Dogs

Puppies might have limited tolerance because of their age or lack of grooming experience. Sessions might be shortened or adjusted to support a safe and positive introduction to grooming.

Senior dogs and dogs with medical, mobility, or behavioural concerns might experience greater stress or fatigue. Services will be adjusted or stopped when continuing would place the dog’s well-being at risk.

Coat Care and Matting

Regular brushing and combing at home are required for dogs kept in growing or longer coat styles.

Danielle’s Pet Grooming does not perform painful or excessive dematting. If matting is present, the available options depend on the condition of the coat and the dog’s safety.

A humane shave or short clip might be recommended or completed where authorization has been provided through the signed grooming waiver.

Removing a matted coat involves known risks, including redness, irritation, clipper sensitivity, small nicks, hidden skin conditions, bruising, and changes in appearance.

If you decline the recommended coat removal and choose to take your dog home to remove the matting yourself, a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled appointment applies.

Cosmetic appearance never takes priority over your dog’s comfort and safety. Humanity Over Vanity guides all grooming decisions.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows

Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice. Weekend appointments require at least 48 hours’ notice.

Notice must be provided by calling 250-746-0052 or responding to the appointment reminder text.

Late cancellations, late rescheduling, and no-shows are subject to a fee of up to 50% of the scheduled groom. Danielle’s Pet Grooming applies this fee at its discretion to the next appointment.

Late Arrivals

Arriving 15 minutes or more after the scheduled appointment time disrupts the grooming schedule and affects other clients.

A late arrival might result in shortened services or rescheduling. Any cancellation fee connected with rescheduling will follow the cancellation policy.

Pre-Appointment Relief and Cleanup Fees

You must give your dog an adequate opportunity to relieve itself before arriving.

Cleanup fees range from $5 to $35, depending on the amount of cleanup required.

A dog that soils its crate after drying might require a second bath to maintain professional grooming standards. Related time and service costs will be added where applicable.

Fleas

The grooming environment carries a risk of flea exposure despite regular cleaning and sanitation.

You will be notified if fleas are found on your dog.

Danielle’s Pet Grooming reserves the right to use flea shampoo when needed. A $5 flea-shampoo charge applies.

Flea prevention and ongoing flea treatment remain the owner’s responsibility.

Drop-Off, Pickup, and Grooming-Area Safety

Please follow the drop-off and pickup arrangements confirmed for your appointment.

Wait for the agreed pickup time or a notification stating your dog is ready. Early arrival can distract or excite dogs and interfere with safe completion of the groom.

If you request your dog before the groom is complete, the full scheduled service price still applies.

Clients and visitors must not interact with dogs while they are on grooming tables. Only authorized staff are permitted in restricted grooming areas.

Prices, Additional Charges, and Payment

Website prices and appointment estimates are based on the information available at the time of booking.

Final pricing depends on the selected services, dog size, coat type, coat condition, behaviour, service time, product requirements, and any disclosed additional charges.

Applicable cancellation, matting, cleanup, flea-treatment, and other authorized charges will be added to the account.

You agree to pay all amounts shown on the booking confirmation or final invoice when due.

Prices and service offerings are subject to change. Changes will not alter the price of a completed service.

Emergency Veterinary Care

If an emergency occurs during grooming, Danielle’s Pet Grooming will make reasonable efforts to contact you.

If you cannot be reached and immediate care is reasonably required, you authorize Danielle’s Pet Grooming to contact a veterinarian or transport your dog for veterinary attention.

You remain responsible for all veterinary, transportation, medication, and treatment costs.

Photography and Media

Danielle’s Pet Grooming requests separate permission before using photographs or videos of your dog for educational, portfolio, promotional, website, or social-media purposes.

Media consent is optional and does not affect access to grooming services.

No personal client information will be published with your dog’s image unless you provide separate permission.

Service Results and Client Concerns

Grooming results depend on coat condition, matting, previous grooming, behaviour, health, movement, client instructions, and the dog’s tolerance during the appointment.

If you have a concern about a completed service, contact Danielle’s Pet Grooming as soon as possible. We will review the concern and determine whether a safe and reasonable adjustment is appropriate.

An adjustment will not be performed where the dog’s coat, skin, health, behaviour, or stress level makes further grooming unsafe.

Refusal or Discontinuation of Service

Danielle’s Pet Grooming reserves the right to refuse, pause, or discontinue service for reasons including:

• Safety or animal-welfare concerns.

• Aggressive, dangerous, or highly stressed behaviour.

• Undisclosed medical or behavioural information.

• Repeated missed appointments.

• Unpaid fees.

• Abusive, threatening, or unsafe conduct.

• Failure to follow salon policies or staff instructions.

Grooming Risks and Liability Waiver

Grooming involves handling, water, dryers, clippers, scissors, restraints, grooming tables, and other equipment. Some risk exists even when reasonable care is used.

Your signed Dog Grooming Liability Waiver and Consent form forms part of your agreement with Danielle’s Pet Grooming and addresses grooming risks, emergency care, media consent, and release of liability.
